![]() They were so helpful, so informative, and so considerate. Jeff and Brett are platinum level quality hospitality. While not the fanciest spot, it was very comforting and cozy. We had an amazing stay at this historic gem on Fire Island. I don't typically like writing reviews for anything, but I thought Seashore Condo deserved one. Best place for a Fire Island getaway to rinse the head and refresh the soul. Brett showed up one late morning with a bonanza of fresh vegetables from the garden he’s planted on the side of the property (I’ll try to include a picture). The best part for me were the sweet, unexpected gestures. The place combines two opposite features - enough privacy and solitude if you want that and just enough access to socializing and fun too. The guys provide hot coffee and the essentials for a quick bite to get you going in the mornings, beach gear, and recommendations to anything you want on the Island. The condos are pristine clean, with Fire Island charm - a touch of wood, full size refrigerator, plenty of decks, bistro tables, chaises and pillows, an outdoor kitchen/barbecue plus an outdoor shower and bikes. The place is managed by two guys (Brett and Jeff) who love it to death, and it shows in everything. The condos are on the bay, a few steps from two restaurants and around the corner from the beach. You can walk to Cherry Grove along the beach or the forest and just 20 minutes stroll or a bike to Ocean Beach. ![]() People are relaxed, there is a great accepting, live-and-let-live vibe. First of all, Ocean Bay Park is the best kept secret on the Island. In fact, I’ve stayed in many homes on Fire Island, and this was the best experience I’ve ever had by a long shot. This is the best place to stay in Ocean Bay Park. We did not spend much time in the room exploring north to Astoria and south to Cannon Beach. We did not upgrade for “ocean view” but we did have 2 windows in the back with great views of mountains. What a highlight and experience! The room was very clean, bed and sheets comfortable and the room was in good shape with a microwave and fridge too. Plus they had free use of chairs to bring to beach. I was impressed and enjoyed the firewood we could purchase for just $10 right at the front desk so we could make our own campfire right on the beach. Next, the little things the hotel offered such as free breakfast with boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt, muffins, cheese and juice was a nice convenient start to the day. He was always washing the windows or landscaping or sweeping and power washing the sidewalk to free it from sand. First, the staff was all amazing and very nice noted was the one male staff person we saw everyday who did cleaning and maintenance every time I saw him. This only 3-story older but perfectly located hotel has many amenities that made it great for our first stay to Oregon.
